Hollow Earth (Continents in Negative Space) is part of The Quiet Earth Series, a collection of sculptural molds inspired by the beauty of the Earth — its oceans, river paths, shifting land, and textures shaped slowly over time.

This piece began as a hand-sculpted earth form in my studio. I wanted the continents to be open rather than solid, creating space for contrast, light, and interpretation. In this design, the continents become negative space while the oceans become the form — an exploration in seeing the Earth from a different perspective.

This design invites experimentation. Fill the continents with metallic pigment, crushed stone, resin tint, or leave them translucent and layered. The open negative space allows you to create depth and contrast.

Whether you work with resin, mica powders, inclusions, clay, wax, or mixed media, this mold gives you a flexible starting point for earth-inspired jewelry and small sculptural work.

I design my molds with intention. This form is meant to be explored — not rushed. The open spaces invite curiosity and contrast, allowing each artist to interpret the Earth in their own way.

Art doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful. Sometimes a simple form, approached with attention, creates the most interesting results.

• Store flat in a cool, dry place
